THE LANDRETH LAB

WELCOME TO THE LANDRETH LAB!

The research projects in our laboratory have historically been focused on the basic biology of signal transduction. We are interested in how signals are generated at the plasma membrane and transmitted to cytoplasmic and nuclear effectors, resulting in changes in gene expression. The work in the lab centers on two different biological problems, neurotrophin signaling and inflammatory mechanisms in Alzheimer's Disease and specifically the activation of microglial cells. The range of projects going on in the lab have become increasingly diverse and our interests are evolving into new areas.
